Cat Diaries: The First Ever Movie Filmed by Cats

These cats aren't just sitting around on the couch. They're documentary filmmakers!

Twenty-five cats from across the country were equipped with video cameras on their collars to film their daily lives. The result is the short film: "The Cat Diaries: The First Ever Movie Filmed by Cats."

Friskies brand cat food premiered the movie on December 8th at a red carpet event in Los Angeles. Animal-lover Denise Richards was in attendance.

The movie also features celibricats: Milo, Charlene Butterbean, Fudge, Gizmo and Skeezix. Read more about these cats and the other "filmmakers" here.

"...We want the whole world to see and enjoy cats' unique personalities and perspectives, "said Daniel Henke-Cilenti, senior brand manager of Friskies.

A shorter version of the 4-minute movie will be screened at select theaters December 10-23, 2010.

I had heard of cameras that you can buy to put on a cat's collar (I sooo want to do that but Cody HATES wearing a collar)...didn't know they had video cameras too!

  2. Hi Caren!

    Thank you so much!

Cody is not a slave to fashion. He has his own unique style: like wearing a roast turkey!
