Winners of the Contest
The winner of the contest will be determined by the shelter with the most votes. In addition to the grand prize, Care2 is awarding $7,000 and $3,000 to the runner-ups.
All Shelters Have the Opportunity to Win
To ensure all shelters have a chance to win, Care2 will also award $500 to a randomly picked shelter for each of the 8 weeks of the contest.
How to Enter
It's easy and free to enter the contest. You can go to Care2 and find your favorite shelter. In order to be eligible to participate, all shelters and groups need to be registered with Adopt-a-Pet.com, a non-profit pet adoption site. The contest ends July 10, 2011.
