Woman Flies Across Country to Adopt Injured Kitten (VIDEO)

I love this story about a compassionate cat lover and a kitten named Oliver.

The kitten was hit by a car two weeks ago in Sioux City, Iowa. He was discovered frozen to a sewer drain. The poor cat had to have his back leg amputated. The story could have ended here, but thankfully for Oliver it doesn't.

A woman named Gail Bancroft who lives in Bethesda, MD heard about Oliver's tough beginnings from her sister who lives in Sioux City. Gail thought the kitten would make a good fit for her family. So she flew out to adopt him from the Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue.

Gail opens her heart up to injured cats. She also has a cat who is a breast cancer survivor and another kitty who was a victim of an acid attack.

Kcautv.com reports that she also made a "sizeable donation to the rescue."

2 paws up to this amazing woman!
