Their smart suggestions for cats regarding humans include:
Porsche the cat is back home with his family six months
after Hurricane Sandy.
I love stories like this. And as a Jersey girl, I especially love this one as I was deeply saddened by the destruction of Sandy in my home state.
Porsche the cat, who went missing after Hurricane Sandy, made an amazing 8-mile journey back home to his family. Last Wednesday, when Carol Baumann, heard the cat's meows on the back deck of their Toms River, New Jersey home. She couldn't believe it.
“I saw the green eyes and I said, ‘My God in heaven, it’s Porsche!’” said Baumann.
As reported by NbcPhiladelphia.com, the beautiful black kitty and his family were evacuated by boat from their Toms River shore home after Hurricane Sandy. They stayed with relatives in Point Pleasant Borough until they could return home. While there, Porsche escaped from the house. Baumann and her mother Uranie Roberts thought they'd never see their dear cat again. But Porsche had other plans.
Porsche wanted to go home. On his long trek back to his family, the determined cat not only had to deal with traffic, he even crossed a bridge.

"Whatever we do for him, he pays us many times over," says the owner of Africa, a tabby cat, who lost the use of his lower body in an accident when he was a kitten. The cat has specially built back wheels to get around.
Judy and Alan Knowles adopted Africa and created a loving environment for the handsome and courageous cat. They built ramps around their house in England, U.K., so he can navigate the house more easily. Plus Africa's trolley has a handle so he can be helped up the stairs.
"It's so rewarding having Africa as a pet. He's so loving, affectionate..."says Judy Knowles. "...We wouldn't be without him for the world."
An essential training video for all cats who own humans. In the video, the experienced trainer, Kodi the Kitten, demonstrates seven smart tips on walking your human.
Let's face it, humans are almost untrainable. They are stubborn... needy... and always on Facebook. Eventually, however, the human will catch on to the program. Repetition is the key to success. Remember at all times that you are the alpha cat.
And don't forget the nom-noms. Humans like encouragement and plenty of treats. Try chocolate. It works wonders.

Piggy, a fearless mountain-climbing house cat, conquers a ferocious summit. No, not Mt. Everest... the icy cold refrigerator. Watch her daring moves down the slippery slope.
Her owner says, "She performs her fridge walk on a daily basis although I have no idea how she first figured it out. She is seven years old but still acts like a kitten. There is never a dull moment with Piggy in the house!"
What a sweet, unguarded moment. Patti Smith, "the Godmother of Punk", sings to her cat, who is clearly captivated. As an observer you feel privileged to have this very private peek at her life. The clip is from Patti Smith: Dream of Life
(2008), an award-winning documentary by Steven Sebring. Sebring followed Smith around for 10 years after the loss of her husband, Fred "Sonic" Smith, guitarist for the MC5.
After reading Patti Smith's Just Kids, a memoir of her early life in New York City, and seeing this snippet, I really want to watch the entire documentary. I'm surprised I never came across the clip until now.
Patti Smith is a known cat lover. You can find numerous photos of her online posing with her feline friends, many taken by famous photographers. Check out a photo of Patti in 1974 with a black cat.
During a broken time in his life, Jackson Galaxy, a cat behaviorist and star of the hit show, My Cat from Hell, met Benny, a rescue cat with a broken pelvis. Galaxy credits Benny with saving his life and said that "I wouldn't be here, on this planet at this point, without him."
The book gives tips on how to work with issues with your own cat. And "what cats need most from us humans in order to live happier, healthier lives."
The cat behaviorist got his start in Colorado at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley where he worked with cats to get them more adoptable. Jackson lives in Los Angeles where he has a private consulting practice, working one-on-one with cats in their homes, utilizing his unique “Cat Mojo” approach to cat care.
Galaxy said the 3rd season of My Cat from Hell will premiere June 30 on Animal Planet.

Pima, a rescue kitty, is not afraid of a bobcat. When the bobcat appears outside her window in Cave Creek, AZ, she bravely introduces herself. And rather than reacting aggressively toward the house cat, the bobcat seems almost playful.
Pima's owner, Bucky Marshall, was hoping to get a shot of the big cat with his camera, but instead captured a sweet moment between the two.
As reported by abc15.com, Pima and her sister, Mogey, had a rough beginning. They were born in a dumpster in Colorado and Marshall adopted them.
